BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Dimitris Tatsis is a dually qualified (MD, DDS) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is currently working as a Consultant in the University affiliated Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, General Hospital “George Papanikolaou”, Thessaloniki, Greece. He has post-training experience as a senior clinical fellow in Head and Neck (OMFS) Surgery in University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom and is a PhD researcher in tissue regeneration of surgical defects in the Medical Faculty of Aristotle University. Dr. Tatsis is an Associate Editor of the Hellenic Archives of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the official publication of the Hellenic Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Greece. He has more than 30 publications as an author in PubMed, more than 10 publications as collaborator, with a high impact of academic recognition. Dr Tatsis is a recipient of scholarships by the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery and the Hellenic Society of Head and Neck Oncology. He has a clinical interest in oral cancer, head and neck surgery and reconstruction. He is an ALS instructor and ATLS certified provider.
